It appears we re in for more comfortable temperatures following last week’s record-breaking temperatures exceeding 100 degrees F. and almost two weeks in the 90’s.
Many of you have inquired when Steve and Annie Chapman will be in town for their concert. The date is Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. at Fauquier High School in Warrenton. The cost is $6 in advance, $7 at the door and group rate of $5 in advance for groups of 10 or more. Tickets are now available at WPRZ and local Christian bookstores.
More church coordinators are needed for the event. Special thanks to our own Amissville Baptist for cosponsoring the concert. Anyone desiring to help make this a successful benefit concert mav call WPRZ at 349-1250.
We are fortunate to have Steve and Annie come to our community. They will also be providing the entertainment in September where 10,000 to 15,000 are expected at the Focus on the Family administration building dedication in Colorado Springs.
WPRZ has added a new Station Representative to their staff. He is Bill Wright of Manassas. He is currently working on the Steve and Annie Chapman Concert.
Our own Kristie Whorton w'as among three local winners in the “Adventures in Odyssey” Secret Message Contest recently held on WPRZ Radio.
Dr. Charles Stein, a Culpeper pediatrician, will discuss “Ticks, Bites, and Stings” on'Wednesday, July 21, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital’s conference room.
