NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING
The Town Planning commission of Washington, Virginia will, pursuant to 15.1 - 431 of the Code of Virginia, hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of an Amended Zoning Ordinance on July 26, 1993 at 7:30 o'clock P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the Courtroom of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, located on Gay Street, in Washington, Virginia. The amended Zoning Ordinance has been submitted to the Planning Commission by the town council of the Town of Washington, and contains numerous Amendments from the Ordinance now in effect, so that such changes cannot be enumerated in this Notice. The Proposed Ordinance is similar to the one advertised by the Planning Commission on March 22, 1993, but the Town Council has made several changes.
Following the meeting, the Planning Commission may vote on a resolution recommending approval of the Zoning Ordinance; or recommending that the Zoning Ordinance not be approved; or recommending that the Zoning Ordinance be approved with certain amendments.
A copy of the proposed Zoning Ordinance is available for inspection by the public at the Office of the Zoning Administrator of Rappahannock County and the Town of Washington on Gay Street, and also available in the Circuit Court Clerk's Office of Rappahannock County, during normal business hours.
Members of the public are invited to attend this public hearing and make their views known.
