Transportation officials say a bypass will do much to relieve congestion on 1-95.

All three routes start at 1-95 to the south, and proceed through Loudoun County. One route cuts through a corner of Fairfax County, overlapping with Route 28 at some points.

The three routes would tie in with 1-70 in Maryland.
