No other site but the one in Prince William County will do, according a spokesman for the Walt Disney Co., which, he said, has spent $10 million so far to develop a theme park in Haymarket.
Of 3,000 acres Disney has marked for development of the park, it owns more than 500 and has options and contracts to buy — for an undisclosed amount — the remaining property, according to P. Michael Reininger, director of real estate venture development for Disney. Reininger met for over an hour with the editorial board of Arundel newspapers last week.
