Charles Corbin Sr. Charles Lee Corbin Sr., 82, of Orange, formerly of Midland died Dec. 6 in Charlottesville. He was bom on Dec. 1, 1911, in Fauquier County, the son of the late Rexford and Katie Ennis Corbin. Mr. Corbin was retired from the William McCarthy Milk Transport Company in Midland as a truck driver. Mr. Corbin was a member of the Catlett Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife, Lillian V. Corbin of Orange; four daughter, Connie Heflin of Locust Grove, Virginia Grimes of Garrisonville, Lois Ringler of Orange and Lena Fredo of Bealeton; three sons, Ira Corbin of Bealeton, Charles Corbin Jr. of Sperry ville and James Corbin of Castleton; two sisters, Gladys Golden of College Park, Md. and Adine Guyer of Bethesda, Md.; four brothers, Oscar Corbin of Catlett, Welton, David and Rex Corbin Jr. all of Nokesville; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 9 at Catlett Assembly of God Church in Catlett with the Rev. Gilbert Foster and the Rev. Alden Yates officiating. Interment was in Catlett Cemetery in Catlett. Memorial contributions may be made to the Catlett Assembly of God, Catlett, Va. 22019.
Eugene Miller Eugene David Miller of Sperryville died Thursday, Dec. 9 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va. He was born April 11, 1913, in Iaeger, W.Va. to the late Edgar and Ida Rose Lowery Miller. He enlisted and served in Submarine Pacific Fleet in the Navy and was the owner and operator of Skyway Motel in Sperrvville. Surviving are three friends, Ona Smith of Sperryville, John Floyd Nichols of Luray and Horace Jones of Richmond. Funeral services were held at Clore Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, Dec. 13, with the Rev. William Harrison officiating. Interment was in Culpeper National Cemetery with full military honors.
Robert Turner Sr. Robert Jackson Turner Sr., 51. of Front Royal died Friday, Dec. 10 at his residence. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 14 at the TurnerRobertshaw' Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Allen Baltimore and the Rev. John Pendleton. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery in Flint Hill. Mr. Turner was born July 13, 1942, in Pittsburg, Pa., the son of James A. Turner of Washington and the late Lucy Timbers Turner. He w'as a member of the Promise Land Baptist Church of Washington and a member of the Pride of Warren Elks Lodge 486 of Front Royal. Surviving with his father are his w ife, Catherine D. Turner of Harrisburg, Pa.; four daughters, Stefinie A. Johnson, Sherris G. Turner, Jazan T. Turner, all of Harrisburg, Pa., and Robin T. Banjoman of Front Royal; a son, Robert J. Turner Jr. of Harrisburg, Pa.; four sisters, Virginia Little, Lucille Head, both of Pittsbucg, Pa., Mary R. Fletcher of Washington and Anna Bradham of Philadelphia, Pa.; three brothers, John Turner, Haywood Turner and Jerry Turner, all of Washington and four grandchildren.
Eugenia Ferguson Eugenia Carrigan Ferguson, 88, of Chester Gap, died Saturday, Dec. 11 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal. Mrs. Ferguson w as born on Aug. 5, 1905, in Point Pleasant Beach, N.J., the daughter of the late E.S. and M.E. Neary Carrigan. She was a graduate of the Fifth Avenue Hospital School of Nursing in New York City and a retired reg
