plishments are beginning to add up. A Democratic President needs a Democratic Senator to support the weightly matters that Congress will consider in the next three years. In a primary, Robb can bring out his support of the President’s program and his wonderfully intelligent and capable wife, Lynda, can help his campaign again as she has done in the past.
Politics couldn’t be more unpredictable and more subject to the winds of change and fortune than they are today. During much of my life they have been roller-coaster indeed. I will give Senator Robb my good wishes and convey to him that I hope he will run and I will try to help him win. I am often in disagreement with Senator Robb on very important matters, but I havn’t found a Senator during my voting life in this state-beginning in 1949-in whom I have more confidence than I have in him and to whom I more readily appeal when I feel an issue of concern to me needs his attention.
