She was a former U.S. postal worker at the Maurertown Post Office and had been employed at the Woodstock Safeway.
She was the former owner of Helen’s Tavern, near Toms Brook, and was a Avon representative. She wTas the wife of the late Frederick Lee Wright.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Wright Adams of Nebo, N.C.; two sisters, Christine Vest of Huntly and Namoi Wright of Roanoke; three brothers, Richard Looney of Woodstock, Robert Looney of New Castle, and James M. Looney Jr. of Fairfax; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Thomas Whittington, Frankie Whittington. Landon Walker, Gary Holler, Richard C. Hockman and Landon Fadely.
