The Washington Town Council gave final approval for the special use permit for the Ochs Box last Wednesday. The original permit was granted last December and subject to review after one year so the Council could consider the parking situation.

“John McCarthy has not received any parking complaints,” said Town Attorney Frank Reynolds. The Council voted to give final approval of the permit, and it will require no , further review.

Council member Brad Fisher received water and sewer rate information for the state of Virginia, and reported that the town’s water rates are at or below the average for the state. “For the PD9 area, we are 54 cents below the average,” he said.
