Three members of the Board of Zoning Appeals met on Dec. 22 and granted approval for a special use permit and a variance.

W. Wayne Norman had applied for a special use permit in order to construct a new home on a two acre property which already has one house on it. The new home would be his, and the existing house would be used as a family apartment by his mother.

After agreeing that the application met the conditions of the zoning ordinance, the members of the BZA present, Jennifer Matthews, Sid Gottlieb and Butch Zindel, voted to approve the application. The permit is contingent, however, upon the applicant producing the deed of recordation combining the two properties.
