Objects which were owned by slaves or could have been made or used by slaves, paintings, prints and other graphics depicting slaves, and documentary materials relating to African Americans will be on display throughout the house.
This eight-month-long exhibit also will include other special interpretive programs such as living history presentations and demonstrations of 18th-century skilled crafts.

Admission to the Carlyle House and exhibit is $3 per adult, $1 per students age 11-17 and free for children 10 and under. Located at 121 N. Fairfax Street, in Old Town Alexandria, the Carlyle Hosue is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays. The house is closed on Mondays.
