Loudoun citizens and community organizations are planning for the Second Annual “I Have A Dream” March and Birthday Celebration on Monday, Jan. 17 in conjunction with the national holiday. Co-sponsored by the Loudoun NAACP, The Douglass Alumni Association and the Bluemont Concert Series, the March will assemble at the old Courthouse in downtown Leesburg at 10:30 a.m. and proceed at 11 a.m. to the Douglass Community Center for an afternoon of music, children’s events, special guests, good food and friendship. This marks the 31st year since the historic March On Washington when Dr. Martin Luther King gave his famous “I Have A Dream" speech.
