The VRA i will not weigh anchor and move downstream — our structure allows for the building of an agri-business infrastructure that makes us part of the community. ”
“The Virginia Thoroughbred Association has always testified against riverboat gambling to protect the beginning*years of Virginia racing,” offered VTA executive director Debbie Norden. “And we will continue to do so in concert with the Virginia Agri-Business Council, the Virginia Horse Council and various track applicants. We are not opposed to gambling [itself,] but want to protect the racetrack from outside interference.”
