Adult students will have a chance to improve their reading and writing skills through an innovative television series which will begin airing on Feb. 7.
“Virginia Reads,” a project of the Virginia Satellite Educational Network in collaboration with Central Virginia Communications Corporation, Wise County Public Schools, and Virginia’s Literacy Agencieswill premier on public television stations WCVW, Channel 57 in the Richmond area and WNVT, Channel 53 in Northern Virginia.
The program will aid in reaching the estimated 1.6 million individuals in Virginia who need assistance in building reading skills.
