The Piedmont United Way Awards Night Celebration Feb. 9 to recognize businesses supporting United Way and to thank campaign volunteers for their efforts, is being sponsored again this year by local auto dealers in the area.
The Awards Night celebration will include speakers from three agencies that received help last year, a banner exhibit of services provided by agencies to the community, a specie thank you to those people giving $500 dollars and over.
Executive Director, Betty Roberts said, “we have already received checks from Country Chevrolet, Jim Harris Oldsmobile, Herndon Chevrolet and know that Reynolds Pontiac will participate. Last year the sponsorships paid for the complete affair. It’s a nice way to say thanks to people who help make the lives of others more meaningful.”
The Piedmont United Way would still like to receive $6,000 to make up the difference for this year. Donations may still be made to the Piedmont United Way by sending a check to P.O. Box 398, Culpeper, Va. 22701. For more informaiton, call 825-7615.
