', Rappahannock New* Contributing Writer 1 Scout units from the county have had a very successful year as the Boy Scouts of America celebrates its $4th birthday. ; Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, Webek>8, and Boy Scouts have been exceptionally active this year learning, having fun, and serving the community through the traditional “Good Turn” projects such as Scouting for Food. . . ! This past year Scouts participated in two Camporees, a National Jamboree, Cub Scout Day Camp and Resident Camp, as well as numerous activities on a unit level. ; Troop 50 Chartered to the jVmissville Ruritan was restarted this year with Bill Johnson as Scout Master, and Paul Nichols continues as the Scout Master of Troop 36 chafartered to Flint Hill Fire Department.
- Both .Troops attended a week long Summer Camp at Camp Rock Fnon this past summer and plans fcre underway to attend the camp’s 50th anniversary this summer.
In additions, Troop 36 will have four boys attending the Scouts National High Adventure Camp, Philmont Scout Reservation in pimmarron, New Mexico this summer with Scouts from nieghboring councils.
