The majority of the shows which David enters are on the east coast, but he has also travelled out west, and dog shows have become a good way to see the country. On the longer trips, he also has some free time to visit local attractions, such as Six Flags, or Disneyland. He also has a lot of friends whom he sees at many different shows throughout the year.
The Loebs family has a van in which they travel to shows with David, though sometimes he travels with professional handlers whose dogs he shows.
He doesn’t receive payment for the shows, but David hopes to eventually be a professional dog handler.
