Leadership skills are developed through training and practice. Leadership skills are useful throughout life. Teens who enjoy working with younger children have some unique opportunities as teen leaders at a variety of 4-H camps. These include Pay Camp, Junior 4-H Camp, and Cloverbud camps. Teens also serve in leadership roles in clubs, at activities and events, and at workshops.
An excellent leader training opportunity is available for teens on Friday evening, March 4 and Saturday, March 5. These 16 hours of training will be held at Culpeper Holiday Inn and will involve teens from more than a dozen counties that camp at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center in PVont Royal.
