Here’s a woman who believes that environmental regulation is best left to private business and individuals. Look at what those businesses and individuals have done to Everglades National Park in Florida. Look at the billions of dollars needed for EPA Superfund sites across the country where private business cut and run, leaving us with the bill.
Dunlop, along with Disney, will make the future health of our own Shenandoah Park more precarious than it already is. The extra pollution and population pressure will be more than it can bear. Dunlop’s dubious qualifications for office are a stint in the Reagan Interior Department, a family friendship with Sen. Jesse Helms, and a recent position as head of an anti-pom group.
The upshot is, instead of further progress in solid economic development and environmental protection for Virginia, we’ll be spending time limiting the damage that Allen and Disney do to us.
