Mr. Sherwood’s group ended up producing a horror video entitled “Dead Man’s Cross.” Ms. Wyrrick’s group produced a video with miniature, sets, props and characters, a “macro movie,” of Rumplestiltskin. Mr. Stone’s class did a comedy sketch “a la Saturday Night live.”
The final videos were shown to parents last Saturday, and each lasted from five to 12 minutes.
Mr. Sherwood said, “The kids in my group discovered that filmmaking is often hard work, that it required vision, intensity and nonstop communication. We got good results and everyone went home with a videotape of four or five productions he was proud of.”
After the showing of videos to parents and friends last Saturday, Mr. Gottlieb asked the students “Wilfyou ever look at television the same way again?” All of the kids responded, “No.”
