“Meanwhile, our monopolistic government-run schools are a national embarrassment. The clear answer is to overhaul the public school system so that it operates on free market principles.”
As a result he supports legislation that would return to parents their financial ability to choose private education, and that would set the public schools free from centralized bureaucracies.
Rilee also believes the War on Drugs has been a failure. “I think we should approach the drug problem from the demand side. Attacking the supply side (through stepped up police work) has been a failure.
“I would like to see us stop the prohibition and try to control the demand side through education and treatment,” he added.
