Financial Aid Workshop

Two financial aid workshops will be held at Rappahannock High School. The first from 4 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 8 with the Director of Admission from James Madison University and the next one from 7 to 9 p.m. on Jan. 11 with a representative from Shenandoah University. Computer Classes Being Held

Through a dynamic job training program known as EDWAA, employees of the Aileen manufacturing plant are being trained one the use of computers. The Warrenton Business Center (WBC) is providing the computer skills training at the Flint Hill Fire House in Flint Hill. WBC is presenting instruction on Introduction to Computers, Keyboarding, Windows WordPerfect and Lotus 1-2-3. The “mobile classroom” uses state-of-the-art Toshiba notebook computers, Panasonic printers, instructor and course materials. Small, six person classes ensure individual attention to sudents who need to update their skills to re-enter the job market. •

WBC’s “mobile” training area covers Fredericksburg, Woodbridge, Manassas, Bowling Green, Leesburg and Fairfax. „

Woman's Club To Meet

The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28 at the Rappahannock Extension Office on Gay Street in Washington. Mrs. Helen Bridges will speak to the group on Christmas decorating. All members and interested persons are urged to attend.

Benefit Bake Sale

The Rappahannock County High School Booster Club will be having a bake sale at the Washington Post Office beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 3. Donated baked goods would be appreciated. For information call Jeanie Welch, 987-8332 or Sandra Jenkins, 675-3741.

CSC Transit will not operate on Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25 in observance of Thanksgiving. CSC Transit is a program of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board. I
