The Warrenton Fire Department’s Breakfast With Santa is expected to bring in a big crowd of children, dragging their parents behind them. Polaroid photos of children sitting with Santa will be taken at no charge.
The cost for breakfast is $5 for adults, $3 for children 4 to 12 years old. The breakfast is free for kids under three, according to fundraising chairman Edwin Lee.
He says that the department sponsors breakfasts the first Sunday of every month (except January) to raise money to pay for the department’s new truck and accompanying equipment. The price tag is about $286,000 — a lot of scrambled eggs.
