Cats love a place to call their own, so look into a cat tree or kitty condo. A ceilinghigh tree lets Precious keep an eye on things from a high perch, while a bi- or tri-level condo with holes to jump in and out of gives her a private niche. For indoor cats, a carpeted ledge that attaches to a windowsill lets them see what’s going on in the world.
But, even with all these fancy toys, it’s hard to overlook the fact that cats really aren’t finicky when it comes to playthings. A paper bag, a cardboard box or a feather tied at the end of a ribbon can keep a cat happily (and amusingly) entertained.
