Teams have been chosen for this season’s boys’ basketball and girls’ volleyball teams.
Returning from last year’s varsity basketball team are Ray Atkins, Jason Brown, Paul Brown, Derek Daczewitz, Andre Fletcher and Jason Settle. New to the team are Ryan Armistead, Jon Butler, Jason Carter, Willie Eastham, Lee Freeman, Mark Jenkins and Yoshio Korenaga.
i Coach Eugene Baltimore has high hopes for his team this year. He said, “They are working really hard. I think we will have a great year; I really do. I think this year we will really turn things around. ” ,
Players on the junior varsity team are Jeff Atkins, Eric Smith, John Diggs, R.J. White, Brian Williams, Alan Groves, Chris McLear, Timmy Deal, Bill Dodson, James Jenkins, Mike Baader, Mike Letsen, Jason Baldwin, and Daniel Coffey.
Luther Stanley is coaching the junior varsity players. He was assistant coach to Gary Leake last year, so he already knows many of the players. He said, “We have the opportunity to go where we went last year, and I am hopeful that we will be back on top again. I really enjoy working with the young kids here.”
