The merchants of Warrenton, with cooperation from the Partnership for Warrenton, the Old Town Association and the Chamber of Commerce, have activities, special events and business promotions planned from Thanksgiving weekend through Christmas. In fact, the festivities will continue into 1995, with First Night Warrenton planned in Old Town on New Year’s Eve.
The Twelve Days of Christmas will be featured in 12 stores scattered through Warrenton’s shopping centers. Shoppers who visit each store and get their entry forms initialed will be eligible for a $250 prize drawing, plus several other gifts. Entry forms are available at each store.
Remington and Marshall plan to join in the holiday celebration as well, albeit on a smaller scale. Both towns are planning Christmas parades featuring Santa Claus as well as local businesses and civic organizations.
