Rappahannock News Staff photo by Cindy Mahan This full-sized handmade appliqued quilt in the ‘Cottage in the Snow’ pattern was made by Rappahannock Extension Quilters Betty Smith, Katherine Riley, Ora Roy, Edith Bridget, Doreen Wootten, Alice Pullen, Charlotte Laing, Virginia Scott and Carol Marangoni. Raffle tickets are being sold to benefit the Extension Homemaker Scholarship which goes to a RCHS senior. Tickets may be purchased from any of the quilters or at the Extension Office. The drawing will be held on Dec. 9 in conjunction with Colonial Christmas.
