Receiving the Achievement Award for overall accomplishments were Mary Beth William and Scott Updike.
Receiving a certificate for the cat project was Lindsay Burger and the Recreation medal for participating in 4-H Share the Fun was Matthew Payne.
In January 1995 Matthew performed at the 4-H Foundation’s Reception for General Assembfy members in Richmond.
Mrs. Smith presented a Blue 4-H Club Charter Seal to the Washington 4-H Cloverbud Club under the leadership of Hazel Zinn-Day and other parents and to the 4-H Livestock Club under the Leadership of Toni and Randall Updike, Jim Massie and Tommy Williams.
Mrs. Smith announced that Scott Updike has been selected to be on the State A Team for 4-H Livestock Judging and will be going to Louisville, Ky. on Nov. 9 — 12 to participate in the National 4-H Livestock Judging Contest.
Mrs. Smith recognized the volunteer leaders and parents who work in partnership with the Extension Office to conduct the 4-H program. Mr. Updike thanked the numerous individuals, businesses and organizations within the county who support 4-H throughout the year.
