Mr. Beyer’s bipartisan tone, however, was not shared by some Democrats. *
“Don’t make any mistake about it — and he’s [Allen] not going to like it, but — this is his referendum,” Det Moss said about the Democratic vie-; tory. “We will work with the governor when he’s right, but when he’s wrong, we’re going to let him know it.
“I got a letter from my would-be successor saying he wanted us to put together a transition team. We got a transition team, and it’s 52 (sic) in number.”
