7th Alumni Basketball Tournament

Any male who has graduated from Rappahannock County High School and who is interested in participating in the Seventh Annual Alumni Basketball Tournament should contact Kelly Settle or Mike Tupper at Rappahannock County High School between 8 a.m. — 4 p.m. before Nov. 17. “We will need four coaches and approximately 50 players. There will be a S10 registration fee and it will be due to the school by Nov. 19,” said Mrs. Settle.

The tournament will be held at 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving weekend, Nov.24 and 25 at the high school. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Mrs. Settle or Mr. Tupper at 987-8575.

Colonial Christmas Events Sought

Any individuals or organizations planning an event or sale oq Saturday, Dec. 9, the day of the town's Colonial Christmas celebration should contact co-chairman Ellen Manson at 675-1349 to be included in the official scheduled of events.

Auction Items Needed

Donated items are being accepted by Washington Volunteer Fire Department for their upcoming auction on Dec. 2. For pick-up call 6753615 or bring items to the fire department.

Development Screening Set

The Rappahannock County Public School System is sponsoring a free developmental screening for children birth to 21 years of age from 1 until 3 p.m. through Nov. 21.

Most children show regular signs of growth during the first five years. Children who do not meet these developmental milestones may need immediate or future special services. The children will be checked tor development in the areas of speech and language, general development, social skills and vision. This screening is not designed to determine if a child a ready for Kindergarten. There is no charge to the parents for this screening. Referrals for evaluation are also being accepted for children five to 21 inclusive. For more information, please call Rappahannock Elementary School at 987-8259.

Soceer Banquet Planned

A soceer banquet will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18 at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Information may be obtained from the school or by calling Diana Corbin at 547-3452.

Support Group To Meet 1

The Blue Ridge Head Injury Support group will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18 at Pat Hommel’s home on Springs Road in Warrenton. The group will hear Ms. Perci Rotter speak on Craniosacral Therapy. Any head injury person, family member or any person interested in learning about the problems of head injuries on helping with the group are invited to attend.
