This Sunday, Nov. 11, the Ragged Mountain Resource Center will be sponsoring a hike around the Hazel Mountain and Hazel River areas of the Shenandoah National Park.

This is an extremely rich area in history, lore and trail options.

Participants are reminded to bring clothing suitable to the weather of the day, food for themselves, and a spirit of adventure! We will meet at the Mountainside Market on 211 West of Sperryville at 10 a.m., proceed along Route 600 to its intersection with the Hazel River, park there, and proceed up the Hazel River. The trip should last approximately five hours.
