“I thought the numbers...were actually better than we expected,” Del. Katzen said.
Tuesday night, in the crowded John Barton Payne building, Mrs. Scheer defended her message, attributing her defeat to a failure in getting the electorate to grasp fully the issues she raised.
“A lot of the issues got muddled,” she said. “The reason I got in the race was because Jay Katzen had such a bad record ... During the race he falsified his record, and people got confused.”
