Mr. Anderson had to leave the meeting before the afternoon session because of a Board of Supervisors meeting in Rappahannock.
He said that the main purpose of the study commission is to get each jurisdiction along the Rappahannock River aware of the river and the uses of the river.
As a tributary to the Chesapeake Bay, the river is of concern to everyone located in the river basin. The mission of the commission is “to study and make recommendations on intergovernmental coordination and planning in the Rappahannock River Basin.”
