I would also like to thank the many parents who took time to help during our soccer clinic that we held with Soccer Academy. All those who participated in the clinic had a great opportunity to benefit from some excellent instruction from very qualified teachers.
This was our 7th Awards Banquet, and the person who has consistently been there to make sure that everything works out is Maggie Rogers. The Soccer League owes a great dead to Maggie's many years of hard work. I would also like to thank Sandra Hirth, Lisa Pendleton, Sharon Pyne, and Maggi Pearcy for their efforts in putting the banquet together.
Each year the Soccer League gives a special award to the person ,who has put forth the greatest effort towards the operation of the league. We call it the Golden Shoe Award. This year it was presented to someone who was tireless in her efforts to bring new people into the league and help organize every aspect of the league. 1 was very happy to award the Golden Shoe td Kathryn Treanor, and 1 would like to thank her once again for all her help..
I'd like to remind everyone who i$ interested in playing Spring Soccer that registration begins in February. Please register on time in order to save money.' I d also like to urge Rappahannock soccer parents to show your support for soccer in our county by purchasing a Rappahannock Soccer decal and displaying it on your vehicle. The decals are available at Cabin Fever Books lor '$5. Thanks again to all the players and parents who continue to be a part of Rappahannock Soccer League.
