Lt. Col. J.K. Dixon
Lt. Col. John Kenneth Dixon USAF (Ret.), 63, of Viewtown, died on Sunday, Nov. 24, at Fairfax Hospital.
He was bom on Jan. 12, 1933, in Melrose, Massachusetts to the late George W. Dixon and Eleanora Janyak Dixon.
Mr. Dixon received his Master's Degree in electrical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis.
He was president of Research Service Bureau, Incorporation of Falls Church for 22 years.
He was owner/operator of Dixie Meadows, a beef cattle farm in Viewtown and served as Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force for 37 years as a pilot from 1955 to 1993.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Helen L. Dixon; two sons, Gregory K. Dixon of Culpeper and John R. Dixon of Fairfax; two daughters, Patricia A. Thomas of Middleburg and Cathy H. Dixon of Culpeper.
He is also survived by one brother, George Richard Dixon of Castleton and three grandchildren, Melissa L. Dixon, Charles R. Dixon and Robin C. Dixon.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Nov. 29 at Found and Sons Chapel.
Interment with military honors followed in Culpeper National Cemetery.
