minimum needed to compete as a team," Mrs. Hickson said. "Their first year, it was Bridget, Kristin and Elizabeth Hickson and they got first place in the conference."

This year the identical twins alternated second- and third-place finishes.

"We would vary who would win, but we usually finish second and third," Bridget said. "Sometimes she'd get her head across the line first and sometimes I'd get my hand across first. We always run together, we can push each other."

David finished his cross country races in around the same time as his senior sisters, while Peter, three years their junior posted faster times.

Eric is eager to join as many athletic teams as he possibly can, once he reaches the junior high level.

"Peter wants to play basketball, and Eric dreams of being the next Pele in soccer^" Mrs. Hickson said.

The twins also play volleyball in the fall and girls basketball in the winter, but their true love is soccer, which they plan to continue to play next year in college, joining their older sisters on the varsity team.
