Last month Home Box Office presented a program on hospice care called "Letting Go: A Hospice Journey." The ^minute documentary tells the moving story of three terminally ill patients, their families, and the hospice professionals who care for them.
"Our intention is to impart a message about the meaning of death with dignity, a life issue that affects everyone,” says Jeff Bewkes, chairman and president of HBO.
A videotape of the program is available for loan from Hospice of the Rapidan in Culpeper. Also, hospice nurses, bereavement counselors and social workers are available to speak, free of charge, to community groups, school and churches. For information, call 825-4840.
