That game was close with ties and lead changes throughout. With 34 seconds to go the Blue Team led 73-71. Kevin Joliffe made a foul shot to cut the lead to one point and the Blue Team called a time out. Paul Hitt • got the inbounds pass and started dribbling in circles until he was fouled. This worked as he made both foul shots for a 75-72 lead, but Jeff Porter's three-pointer tied the score with seven seconds left. Paul Hitt made another foul shot for the final 76-75 win.
Paul Hitt had 28 points, Tommy Jenkins 13, and Jason Settle 13 for the Blue Team. Kevin Joliffe had 18, with Jeff Porter and Daniel Vanderkolk adding 14 each for the Red Team.
Saturday night the White Team took an early lead in the women's competition and had a 7-4 lead at the end of the first quarter. Karen Jordan took control early in the second quarter and ran off three straight baskets to get a 10-7 lead for the Blue Team at the end of the half.
In the third quarter the White Team cut into the lead closing to 20-18 before the Blue Team again took control for the final win.
