"They're a really.athletic family," WCDS athletic director Jim Harris said. "Sharon runs all the time, four or five miles per day."
The children clearly take after their mother in their love of sports. And they have to stay on their toes to try to keep up with her.
"Our mom does cross country* skiing, when she's not running or biking or swimming," Bridget said. "She’s very athletic."
Mrs. Hickson served as the assistant coach on the WCDS cross country team when it first started.
Sunday Soccer
Aside from a shared strong faith in God, soccer is one of the common threads that helps unite the family.
The Hicksons have a field in their backyard where they play family games of soccer, often on Sundays.
Sharon Hickson usually volunteers to play goalkeeper.
"Each girl always wants me to be on the Opposing team because I tend to allow a lot of goals," she said.
