Viola Nicholson

Viola May Nicholson, 85, of Leon, died on Monday, Nov. 25 at Autumn Care in Madison.

She was bom in Madison County, on May 1, 1911.

Her parents were the late Lewis K. and Dasey Bell Nicholson.

Her husband was the late James Daniel Nicholson.

Survivors include two daughters, Dasey Nicholson of Reva and Rosei May Woodward of Berryville; four sons, Lewis Daniel Nicholson of Culpeper, James Garlow Nicholson of Gordonsville, Roosevelt Nicholson of Middleburg and Robert Trent Nicholson of Inwood, W.Va.; 30 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by three brothers, James Nicholson of Castleton, Tippy Nicholson of Madison and Henry Nicholson of Baltimore, Md.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Atkins and the Rev. Steve Gamer officiating.

Clore-Geest Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
