A number of years ago, when I was teaching eighth grade at the Burgundy Farm School in Alexandria, I gave this recipe to my students. One of my charges promptly went home and made the pudding. His father came home from work and found a bowl of an appetizing mixture in the refrigerator. He liked the smell and assumed it was a new sandwich spread.
