"One of her friends one year wanted modeling lessons for Christmas,” said Pixie. "Kandice wanted a catchers uniform."
"She isn't what I would call a natural athlete," explained Kerry, the head of an historically athletic house, and mentor of seven children total. "But I think her work ethic is as strong as anybody's, and if she decided she's going to do something, she'll do it."

"I thought about it," said Kandice, "then I decided not to because I can’t shoot or dribble worth anything.”
Kerry said, "She wasn't a real good shooter, but if you wanted someone defended, she could cover them like a glove. I think it was a confidence thing, I think she just didn't have the confidence to shoot and dribble."
