Breadsticks

1 recipe pizza crust (above)

1 egg, lightly beaten with 1 tablespoon water

3 tablespoons sesame seeds or caraway seeds

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Place the rack in the center position. Grease 2 heavy-duty baking sheets or line them with foil, shiny side up.

Divide the dough into 12 pieces. On a lightly floured board, roll each piece into a 4 by 2 1/2-inch rectangle. Cut each rectangle lengthwise into four (4-inch) sticks. Transfer the sticks to the prepared sticks, leaving 1/2-inch between the sticks.

Brush the top of each stick with the egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds or caraway seeds. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown. Best served hot!

Cooks Note: I love working with S my bread machine and making all( kinds of new things. The best cook- > book I have found for this purpose is: Bread Machine Baking — Perfect Every Time, by Lora Brody and Millie Apter. The authors adjust each recipe to the different machines that are on the market. Success is guaranteed!
