“As most of you are aware a very disturbing incident occurred outside the library on Thursday, June 19,” said Rappahannock Library Director David Shaffer to the Library Board at last week’s meeting. “At approximately 4:15 p.m., a man attempted to entice a child playing in the library parking lot into his car. The incident has been reported to the sheriff and signs have been posted around the library notifying parents.”
The sheriff is following up on leads concerning the incident.
