Glayds Lee Washington, 82, of Front Royal, died Sunday, June 29 at Winchester Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 2 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with the Rev. Alfred Woods officiating.
Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery in Front Royal.
Mrs. Washington was bom Dec. 11, 1914, in Amissville, daughter of the late Johns S. and Flossie M. Williams Wanser.
She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Front Royal and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 174 of Front! Royal.
She was the wife of the late George “Beck” H. Washington.
Surviving are two sons John G. Flynn' of Front Royal and Robert S. Flynn of Harrisburg, Pa; a brother William Brown of Harrisburg; five sisters Mary Croft, Marion Braxton and Elaine Metz, all of Harrisburg, Amanda Peasant of Dayton, Ohio, and Myrtle Hackley of Hume; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
