From top left clockwise, the American Legion Honor Gtfrard, from the Culpeper post, marched behind the Rappahannock sheriff’s car at the start of the Amissville Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company’s annual parade last week. Despite cloudy weather and a few raindrops which spectators ignored, the parade went on as scheduled. Above, Krista Feaganes being held by Amanda Koch, were two of the Country Cuties from Remington. Krista was taking a load off her feet in preparation for the long walk while awaiting‘the start of the parade. At left, Rappahannock County Sheriff Gary Settle waved at the crowd as he led off this year’s parade in Amissville along Route 211 to the Amissville fire half.
