The first speaker of the morning was Eric G. Grunset, Library Director for the DAR Library in Washington, D.C. and presently Vice President of the National Genealogical Society. This library is in its 102nd year, is open to the public and has a collection of 140,000 books. Its collection focuses on the whole United States and all time periods with a strong colonial and nineteenth century collection with a heavier concentration on the east coast.
