The Water Show at the Middle Street Gallery is opening July 4 and it is well worth seeing. Jerry Scott, the director of Touchstone Gallery of Washington, D.C., chose the works from among many entries.
The artists represented come from Rappahannock, and the surrounding counties, Washington, D.C., and as far away as Maine. There is a variety of media in painting and sculpture, but all the works show the many faces of water either in rivers, the ocean, ponds, dew or snow.
One comes away feeling refreshed after viewing the works. There will be a ceramic sculpture by Carrie Watman installed outside for the duration of the show.
