Irvin Jenkins
Irvin G. Jenkins, 65, of Sandston died on Tuesday, June 24 at Richmond Memorial Hospital.
He was born on June 1, 1932, in Rappahannock County, to the late Cooper Ashby and Bessie Hampton Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife Doris Shaw Jenkins; three sons Garland Jenkins of King George, Timothy Jenkins and Michael Jenkins, both of Fredericksburg and two daughters Viki Williams of Colonial Beach and Connie Lee Bell of Fredericksburg.
Survivors also include six sisters Virginia Winn, Florine Hitt, Anna Covington, Dolly Fincham, all of Culpeper, Mary Hash of Boston and Ethel Wayland of Fredericksburg, and two brothers John W. Jenkins, Jr., and George Jenkins, both of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son Irvin Cooper Jenkins and two brothers Ashby Jenkins and Jesse Jenkins.
Graveside services were held on Monday, June 30 in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Albert Buza officiating.
Found and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Effie Payne
Effie S. “Billie” Payne, 71, of Warrenton died on June 19 at Fairfax Hospital. She was retired as a secretary for P.B. Smith Elementary School.
She was a member of Warrenton Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Thomas H. Payne of Warrenton; daughters Robyn Burke of Leon and Linda P. Smith of Jeffersonton; son Paul T. Payne of Amissville; sister Ruby Lee Baldwin of Newtown Square, Pa. and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Charlie Jacob Sours and mother lea Miller Sours.
