With the 4th of July
quickly approaching, everyone’s mind automatically thinks of America and the freedom it represents, “America the Land of the Free and the Brave.”
We in America do not realize how fortunate we are to have freedom.
We take for granted what people in other countries would undoubtedly do anything for.
Freedom is the ability to do basically anything we want, at any time we want, without having to have someone constantly hovering over us, to make sure we are doing what we are supposed to be doing, nothing more or less.
We can go to bed when we want, get up when we want, go where we want, eat what we want and work where we want.
I am proud to be an American. I am an American by nature.
I have traveled to different parts of the United States in my life. There are some states that are beautiful and some that are not so beautiful, but one thing is for sure, America is most beautiful, it is America the Beautiful.
Here in Rappahannock County, every Fourth of July we celebrate Independence Day! This is the time people should get out and express appreciation for being free, being an American.
Coming out to help celebrate and show our respect to those who died fighting for America, to keep the flag of freedom flying high is the least we can do.
If you’re proud to be an American this is the time set aside for you to come out and show your appreciation and respect to those who died fighting for your country that you might have freedom.
