Bake sale on July 4
The Washington Ladies Auxiliary will be holding a 9 bake sale at the Thrift Shop that will be open at 9 a.m. on July 4. Donations for this event will be greatly appreciated. For additional information call 675-3844.
Washington celebrates the Fourth
Come, celebrate the 22nd annual Fourth of July daylong celebration in Washington on Friday, July 4.
Events will include Alexandria Royal Fifes, drums and trumpets performance and ceremonial parade, live fireworks at dark, food, ice cream, home baked goodies, patriotic events and performing artists. There will be a juried craft show from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., a children’s bicycle parade at 4:30 p.m., musical entertainment from noon until dark and a barbecue dinner at 4 p.m.
There will be a nominal parking fee with all proceeds going to the Volunteer Fire Department and other local charities and organizations. For more information call 675-3193 during business hours.
Services board to meet
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8 at 15631 Bradford Road, Culpeper.
